This movie gets inside your head with Lecters thought provoking words that show us the dark side of the human psyche the clever calm side of a true monster who knows his victims on a deep level before he consumes more than there words.
Silence of the Lambs is an absolute classic movie that follows a Intelligent cannibal named Doctor Lecter who has been locked away in a small isolated cell for his crimes but he his skills as psychiatric doctor and unique criminal profiling knowledge is sought out by the FBI for help catching dangerous killer who is on the loose they send trainee agent Clarice Starling to interview Lecter who takes a liking to her and agrees to help the FBI while taking full advantage of his relationship with the agent by probing her mind and learning all there is to know about her using his intelligence and manipulative ways.
Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster are perfect in there roles taking the characters from the book by the same name and bringing them to life Hopkins presence on screen is terrific and terrifying so much so that Hopkins and Foster didn't talk on or off set while filming as she found him "Scary" which only makes their on screen relationship much more real and intense.
I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a movie with a great story that keeps you on the edge of you seat guessing what will happen next and how it will end this movie is a classic for a reason give a watch if you haven't already seen it before.

What worked:

  • I think almost everything worked for the movie. Captivating screenplay, well written for the amazing lead characters, well acted and of course well directed movie. The movie keeps us engaged, furious at times and satisfied at the end of the movie for its balanced narrative.

What did not work:

  • I would have personally expected more screen time for the lead characters Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster because they were fabulous in their characters and won their oscars.

Final verdict: recommended; at least once.
